The HSET Advisor will interface with MSHA and State Mine Inspectors regarding compliance with all aspects of health and safety under the direction of the HSET Superintendent or the HSET Manager. This position will provide leadership and direction of the day-to-day safety requirements in the surface and underground mining operations for Redpath Contracted Projects. The HSET Advisor will be responsible for supporting operations and providing guidance on the implementation of all RUSAC HSET procedures and policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations, to facilitate Redpath’s Safety- First, Last and Always practices

Responsibilities
- Ensures site compliance with Redpath standards, MSHA/OSHA standards, ATF regulations, applicable state regulation and client requirements.
- Participate in and educate personnel in the Redpath Safety Program and Fatality Prevention Program.
- Communicate, coach, and assist the workforce to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met.
- Uphold the RUSAC HSET strategy for Health, Safety, Environment & Training.
- Assists with investigations relating to serious accidents or serious injuries, coordinates with site leadership, MSHA and client as needed during these situations.
