Remote Bookkeeper – US Real Estate (Buildium/QuickBooks)

We're a group of US-based real estate companies — property flips, rentals, and property management — looking for an experienced bookkeeper who understands real estate-specific accounting, not just general bookkeeping. This is a remote, part-time contractor role with working hours of 9:00 AM–3:00 PM US Central Time, Monday through Friday, which aligns closely with Colombia's time zone, making real-time collaboration and communication straightforward.

What Makes This Role Different
This isn't data-entry bookkeeping. You'll be working across multiple entities, including flip properties (inventory/COGS treatment), rental properties (fixed asset/depreciation treatment), and a property management trust account with monthly owner disbursements. If you understand why a flip and a rental are recorded differently in QuickBooks, not just how, this role is built for you.

Required Qualifications
3+ years hands-on QuickBooks Online experience




Working knowledge of property management software — Buildium preferred, AppFolio or similar platforms also considered
Prior hands-on property management experience — required
Minimum 1 year of US real estate accounting experience, including class-based property allocation
Comfortable making independent decisions and flagging issues proactively, without requiring constant direction
Fluent written and spoken English
Stable high-speed internet and reliable computer
