We are seeking a Senior UI Technical Artist to define the tech art systems, materials, and motion language that unify and scale a forward-looking game UI across platforms. You will elevate visual and UX designs with polished, performant solutions and mentor UI artists.

Responsibilities

- Define UI tech art systems, templates, thematics, and principles for a scalable UI style
- Build highly polished and performant UI tech art solutions using materials, UMG, animation, FX, lighting, blueprints, and camera tools
- Establish consistent visual patterns for motion, FX, transitions, scale, and proportion
- Create animated UI transitions and cinematic camera moves using Sequencer and related tools
- Plan UI tech art adaptation across platforms, balancing fidelity, memory, and performance
- Own UI tech art tooling, pipelines, and asset management to improve team efficiency
- Mentor UI artists and visual designers to align execution with the shared motion and material language
- Integrate 3D and UI workflows, including spatial and diegetic UI, cameras, and framing
- Optimize shaders, textures, and materials through profiling and real-time performance tuning
- Collaborate with designers to refine micro-interactions and ensure a premium UI feel

Requirements

- 3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist, UI Tech Artist, or VFX Artist in games
- Senior-level mentorship skills for guiding UI artists and visual designers
- Strong cross-platform planning skills balancing visual fidelity and performance
- Expert Unreal Engine 5 skills, including Material Editor and Niagara
- Advanced Sequencer skills for animated transitions and cinematic camera moves
- Strong shader and UV math skills,



including material functions/systems and optimization
- Solid 3D and UI integration skills across cameras, lighting, framing, and post-processing
- Strong real-time lighting and post-process knowledge for mood and atmosphere
- Proven motion design skills for timing, easing, micro-interactions, and hover states
- Excellent collaboration skills to elevate established UX and visual designs
- High comfort with ambiguity in exploratory iteration to find the right feel
- Upper-Intermediate English (B2) proficiency in speaking and collaboration

Nice to have

- Experience with reusable or modular VFX and material systems across large UI surfaces
- Familiarity with UMG UI logic interacting with material and VFX systems
- Experience with AI Assistants to accelerate prototyping, documentation, or tooling workflows
- Background in gaming cinematics, trailers, or environmental mood and lighting design
