Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support a company focused on wireless communications infrastructure, radio systems, and mission-critical telecommunications solutions. This position is 100% onsite/local field-based in Columbia, MD. The Field Service Technician I will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wireless communication systems while supporting customers across the region. Responsibilities for the Field Service Technician I include:
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair two-way radio and wireless communications systems
- Support the installation and configuration of radios, antennas, repeaters, dispatch consoles, and related RF equipment
- Assist with BDA/DAS deployments, cable installation, equipment mounting, and system integration activities
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, watt meters, spectrum analyzers, and TDRs to identify and resolve technical issues




- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation while providing excellent customer support

Required Qualifications for the Field Service Technician I include:
- 3+ years of experience in wireless communications, RF systems, electronics, telecommunications, military communications, low-voltage installation, or related technical environments
- Hands-on experience with two-way radio systems, UHF/VHF communications equipment, antennas, cabling, and RF technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot communication systems and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, military experience, or industry certifications preferred
- No clearance required; valid driver's license required and willingness to support regional travel and on-call responsibilities
