At Talento, we're looking for a Mid-Level Carrier Sales Representative with solid experience in transportation operations, load coverage, and carrier negotiation, to join a dynamic team within a high-volume freight brokerage operation.
- Manage day-to-day carrier sales activities within a 3PL/freight brokerage environment, supporting fast-paced and high-volume freight operations.
- Source, book, and cover loads with qualified carriers across different freight modalities, including dry van, reefer, flatbed, LTL/FTL, and other shipment types as needed.
- Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to secure dependable capacity, improve service levels, and support long‑term carrier partnerships.
- Negotiate rates, lanes, and shipment terms with carriers while balancing cost, service requirements, urgency, and customer expectations.
- Onboard, vet, and qualify new carriers according to company standards, insurance requirements, compliance procedures,



and operational needs.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to execute shipments, resolve exceptions, and ensure accurate communication throughout the load lifecycle.
- Track shipments, confirm pick-up and delivery updates, and proactively address delays, service failures, carrier issues, or last‑minute coverage needs.
- Use load boards, TMS platforms, carrier portals, and industry tools to identify capacity, manage bookings, and support carrier procurement.
- Monitor carrier performance and logistics metrics to improve coverage efficiency, service quality, and operational results.
- 2–3 years of direct experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics operations, preferably within a 3PL environment.
- Hands‑on experience working with carriers to book, cover, and track loads across multiple freight modalities.
