Affinity Outdoor Living is a growing U.S.-based company specializing in custom swimming pools, pool design, and outdoor living projects.
We are looking for a Junior CAD Drafter / Architectural Drafting Assistant to join our remote team in Colombia.
Please note: This is specifically a JUNIOR position.
We already have an experienced architect on our team who leads our drafting and plan development process. The person hired for this position will work as an assistant to our architect, helping prepare, revise, and organize technical drawings while learning our specialized process for swimming pool construction plans.
For this reason, we are not looking for senior architects, senior engineers, BIM managers, project managers, or candidates with extensive professional experience. This opportunity is intended for an early-career professional who has a solid foundation in CAD and technical drawing and wants to grow under the guidance of an experienced architect.
Previous swimming pool experience is not required. We will teach you our process.
What You'll Do
• Assist our architect with the preparation of technical and construction drawings for residential swimming pool projects.
• Create and revise drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting/design tools.
• Implement markups, redlines, corrections, and revisions provided by our architect.
• Work with measurements, dimensions, site information, layouts, and construction details.
• Follow established drafting standards, templates, and procedures.
• Help maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
• Learn the technical requirements involved in swimming pool and outdoor living construction.
• Gradually take on additional drafting responsibilities as your skills and knowledge develop.
What We're Looking For
