Role
The Research Associate will work within and support Octus’ General Covenants team,
focusing on US leverage finance and high yield markets under the guidance of senior lawyers. The role is ideal for a qualified lawyer with experience working in the leveraged finance, capital markets, and restructuring, and with a genuine interest in applying AI to legal research and analysis. This will be a hybrid role based in Bogotá for an enthusiastic person who has a desire to learn and thrives in a growing, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
• Act as a first point of support for senior lawyers in Global Covenants on day-to-day research, drafting, and analysis needs
• Establish deep working knowledge of all aspects of Octus’ Global Covenants offering, including people, process, and technology
• Research, draft, and assist with the creation of legal intelligence on leveraged loans, private credit, high yield bonds, liability management exercises, event driven analyses and other topics
• Independently update existing covenant analyses as debt instruments e
