ABOUT THE JOB
Kent is looking for a Senior Engineer I – Piping Materials to support ongoing projects and provide piping material engineering services across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities.
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
- Piping Material Engineering:
Develops and reviews piping material specifications, piping classes, valve specifications, specialty item specifications, and material requisitions in accordance with project requirements, client standards, and applicable industry codes.
- Technical Bid Evaluations:
Develops and reviews technical bid evaluations for piping materials, valves, and specialty items, supporting supplier selection and procurement decisions.
- Material Selection and Compatibility:
Supports material selection for corrosive, high-temperature, cryogenic, and sour-service applications and coordinates with Piping, Process, Mechanical, and other disciplines to confirm material compatibility.
- Procurement and Vendor Support:
Supports procurement activities including material take-offs, requisitions,
technical clarifications, vendor documentation reviews, and supplier coordination.
- Design and Document Reviews:
Performs accurate reviews and checking activities for piping material engineering deliverables and vendor documentation within the required schedule.
- Technical Coordination:
Coordinates responses to technical queries from clients, vendors, contractors, and internal disciplines, escalating complex technical or commercial matters when required.
- Project Execution Support:
Supports engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities, participates in design reviews, and contributes to the resolution of material-related issues.
- Change Management:
Supports Management of Change (MOC) activities and evaluates material-related impacts associated with design changes.
- Quality and Compliance:
Supports the resolution of audit findings and quality actions and verifies comp
