Role Description The Production Manager role is a on-site position based at Tarkus Pharma Lab’s facility in Tocancipá.

The Production

Manager oversees daily production operations, including planning, organizing, and controlling manufacturing activities to meet quality, safety, and output targets. This role coordinates production schedules, manages resources and staffing, and ensures compliance with GMP, EU-GMP, and regulatory standards related to medicinal cannabis processing.

Manager monitors process performance, implements continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates closely with quality assurance,



maintenance, and supply chain teams to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime. The position also involves training and guiding production staff, maintaining accurate documentation and reports, and supporting audits and inspections.

Qualifications

- Strong production management and operations skills, including production planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation.
- Experience in GMP-compliant environments and familiarity with pharmaceutical or medicinal cannabis manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Six Sigma) and ability to analyze data to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Team leadership capabilities, including staff supervision, coaching, performance management, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Competence in documentation, reporting, and use of production management systems or ERP tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medicinal cannabis production; experience in extraction or phytotherapeutics is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in a laboratory or manufacturing setting.
