What you will be doing

Coordinate and manage ocean import and export shipments from origin to destination, ensuring smooth execution of all logistics activities in compliance with customer and freight forwarder requirements. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service, maintain operational efficiency, resolve transportation challenges, and support the achievement of company objectives and customer satisfaction.

You will be contributing to that vision by…

- Booking, documentation, costing, billing, filing, coordination, quoting, tracking and customer service.
- Arrange cargo transportation with all applicable parties. * Plan and optimize shipment routes. * Coordinate with customers, agents and vendors.
- Prepare, distribute or otherwise process all required documentation including AWB, BOLs, invoices, export declarations (EEI), pre alerts, debit and credit notes and others, as required.
- Create and maintain detailed shipment files.
- Establish and/or maintain detailed customer-service profiles.
- Monitors shipments and keep all parties informed of the shipment status at all times.
- Ability to troubleshoot and work with technical teams to communicate issues with operating system as it relates to the completion of Ocean Export / Import documentation.
- Knowledge of FMC AND NVOCC, rules and regulations.




- Strong understanding of Ocean freight forwarding and INCOTERMS 2020.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Team player able to work with warehouse operations to optimize receiving and shipping efficiencies.
- Ability to develop relationships with overseas teams and vendors as/when necessary.

What skills & experience you will bring to us

- Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in the logistics and transportation industry, preparing and processing international ocean shipments, in-transit shipments and/or inland-freight shipments.
- Associates degree, vocational training in a related field or a minimum of two years of college coursework preferred.
- US export/import compliance training preferred.
- Ocean DG training is a plus.
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Office suite, and ability to learn and adapt to Rhenus systems.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written; bilingual a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- ACE system knowledge preferred
