Job purpose: The WFP Colombia office is seeking a VAM-SIG Associate (Vulnerability Analysis & Monitoring) to strengthen its capacity in vulnerability analysis and food security mapping. This role will support the Research, Evaluations, Monitoring, and Reporting (RAM) Unit by developing and leading a data systems strategy focused on automating data collection and sharing. The Associate will leverage visualization and geospatial technology to inform strategic and programmatic decision-making.



Key responsibilities include generating operational and static maps, maintaining a spatial data library, supporting the development of data collection tools, updating VAM data systems, creating dashboards and infographics, and providing training on GIS software and data collection platforms. This position is crucial for enhancing evidence-based program design and management in response to complex challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, the Venezuelan migration crisis, and internal conflict escalation.
