The Virtual Assistant/Paralegal will support attorneys at a Chicagoland law firm on various legal matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing, drafting, and organizing legal documents, assisting with filings related to zoning variations, permits, and development approvals, and maintaining accurate case files and records.

The role involves conducting legal and factual research, writing drafts, reviewing documents for completeness and compliance, and communicating with clients, government agencies, and internal team members to coordinate information and timelines.

The Virtual Assistant/Paralegal will also help manage deadlines and prepare materials for hearings or meetings. This is a remote role with up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Law and familiarity with real estate and legal matters.
• Attorney license required.
• Mastery of the English language.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting,



and organizing pleadings, filings, and correspondence.
• Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, government officials, and interpreters.
• Ability to conduct thorough Research on statutes, regulations, municipal codes, and case law.
• Attention to detail in Document Review, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with filing requirements.
• Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters and deadlines.
• Experience handling confidential documents.
• Enthusiasm to work with firm-approved AI software and other databases.
