Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Platforms team in an offshore/nearshore capacity. This role is hands-on and focused on designing, building, governing, and supporting reliable data pipelines, data models, and modern lakehouse solutions that enable enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational use cases. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with U.S.-based product owners, architects, and analytics teams during overlapping business hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL / ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
- Design and support Databricks medallion architecture, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
- Develop and optimize SQL-based transformations, data models, and Power BI semantic models within the Databricks ecosystem.




- Apply data governance, security, access controls, metadata, and data quality standards across Databricks environments.
- Support Databricks administration and day-to-day platform operations, including workspace, cluster, permissions, and related configuration activities.
- Ingest and transform data from ERP systems, operational databases, flat files, APIs, and other enterprise sources into modern cloud data platforms.
- Apply Master Data Management (MDM) concepts to support consistent, governed, and trusted enterprise data within Databricks.
- Support modernization of legacy ODS-style pipelines toward modern cloud data architectures and lakehouse patterns.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using Azure DevOps (ADO), Git, and related DevOps practices.
