About this position
This is a locally engaged position at an overseas Australian Diplomatic Mission. Working with limited direction in a high-tempo environment, the Program Support Officer provides administrative, program, stakeholder and language support to AFP activities in Colombia and the region. The officer requires initiative, discretion, sound judgement, cultural awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities within a small team. Duties may include preparing a variety of reports and official correspondence, finance and procurement, training or official visit coordination and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders in support of AFP activities. The officer requires flexibility to work outside core business hours as required to support AFP outcomes.
Depending on your position, you may be required to undergo additional security and background checks and undertake specific Child Protection e-learning.
Additional Information
This position requires a probity check to be completed. Employment in the advertised position is dependent on the employee having or acquiring a valid DFAT probity check. Probity checks can take some time to process, and employment cannot be commenced until an appropriate check is confirmed.
