Tax Associate to support a variety of tax-related activities, including tax filings, reporting, journal entries, tax law research, and the management of state tax notices. The role will also support tax audits, sales/use tax compliance, and other tax-related activities while maintaining accurate documentation and organized processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain Wabash customer exemption certificates.
- Prepare, file, and process monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns
.
- Prepare tax journal entries.
- Assist the Senior Analyst with tax audits.
- Maintain and complete monthly checklists and calendars.
- Maintain organized process and procedure documentation.
- Maintain and assist with the resolution of sales and use tax notices.
- Assist with fixed assets and property tax compliance activities as needed.
- Conduct tax law research and support tax-related reporting activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher, preferably in
Accounting or Business
.
- 1 year of experience in accounting.
- Experience in handling customer and vendor tax exemption, ideally with basic knowledge of retail or manufacturing sales/use tax.
- B2-C1 English level proficiency.
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
.
- Familiarity with
SAP is preferred.
