Visa’s Internship Program provides an immersive, 12-month journey where you’ll work on impactful projects that drive Visa’s mission forward. As a Strategy Intern, you will be actively involved in supporting the execution of Visa’s strategy in the Andean region.
You will develop analyses using internal and external sources, including Visa databases (portfolio performance), regulatory reports, economic group information, and third-party research. This role combines quantitative and qualitative skills, requiring both data analysis and the ability to interpret findings to meet project objectives.
This hands-on experience provides valuable exposure to strategic planning and execution across the technology and financial sectors.
Some job duties and projects could include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct market research on industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape, using data and insights to support go-to-market strategy development
- Deliver actionable insights to Country Managers, the Strategy VP, and their teams, serving as a foundation for initiatives that help Visa define its strategy and achieve objectives
- Support tracking and execution of regional strategic priorities by monitoring KPIs, milestones, and progress on key initiatives
- Work with cross-functional teams to support strategy execution and integrate insights from market research
- Propose new frameworks, models, and analyses to strengthen Visa's positioning across the Andean payments ecosystem (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Venezuela)
- Develop on-demand information to support strategic projects
- Monitor emerging payment trends, digital wallets, account-to-account solutions, fintech developments, and competitive moves to identify opportunities and risks for Visa

Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field,
with an expected graduation between November 2027 and March 2028
- Quantitative skills for processing data and building KPIs
- Ability to apply business sense and qualitative analysis to interpret insights and build recommendations
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, and AI-enabled productivity tools
- Excellent communication skills for working across multiple teams and engaging senior stakeholders
- Advanced English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building business cases and financial models to assess the profitability of opportunities
- Comfort working with large data sets and translating them into actionable recommendations
- Collaborative mindset and curiosity to learn within a dynamic and evolving ecosystem

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department
This is a hybrid position. Expectation is that intern will work onsite three days per week, specifically from Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work arrangements on Mondays and Fridays.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
