Storage Infrastructure Specialist – L2 – 100% remote

Candidate Location – Colombia only

Hiring Model – 12 Months plus contract

We are looking for an experienced L2 Storage Infrastructure Specialist to provide day-to-day operational support for a mission-critical banking storage environment. The role will support IBM DS8000 (DS8K) storage, IBM iSeries/IBM i (AS400), SAN infrastructure, storage replication, and Cyber Vault environments.

The adecuado candidate should have strong hands-on experience in storage monitoring, provisioning, SAN operations, incident troubleshooting, replication monitoring, and operational support. The candidate will work closely with L3 storage, SAN, infrastructure, and application teams for complex issues and major changes.

Required Skills

Storage

- Hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 / DS8K storage administration.
- Storage provisioning, LUN/volume management, capacity monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of storage performance monitoring and basic tuning concepts.
- Experience with IBM Storage Insights.

Storage Replication & DR

- Working knowledge of IBM Metro Mirror and Global Mirror.




- Experience monitoring replication status and resolving basic replication issues.
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, RPO, and RTO concepts.
- Experience supporting DR tests and failover/failback activities.SAN
- Hands-on experience with Cisco MDS SAN switches.
- Working experience with Brocade SAN switches.
- Knowledge of SAN zoning, VSANs, Fibre Channel, ISLs, and WWPNs.
- Understanding of SAN multipathing and host-to-storage connectivity.
- Ability to troubleshoot SAN connectivity and port-related issues.

Preferred Qualifications

- IBM DS8000 / IBM Storage certification or relevant training.
- Cisco MDS / Data Center certification or experience.
- Brocade SAN certification or relevant training.
- Experience with IBM Copy Services Manager (CSM).
- Exposure to PowerHA.
- Exposure to scripting/automation using Shell, Python, or Ansible.
- Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and ticketing platforms.
