At SunDevs, we are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strategic mindset, functional vision, and a passion for automation to lead the quality strategy for high-impact digital platforms globally.

Your Mission

Your mission will be to own the end-to-end testing and QA strategy. You will be the technical and leadership point of reference responsible for structuring the QA process from the ground up, guiding the team to ensure continuous, reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Structure and Lead the QA Strategy: Define, implement, and evolve the end-to-end testing strategy from scratch for mobile (iOS/Android), web, CMS, APIs, and AI integrations.
- Functional & Business Quality: Design test cases based on business risk and impact, validating complex workflows such as payment processing, loyalty programs (Punchh), POS/Menu integrations (PAR), and overall user experience.
- Strategic Automation: Design, execute, and maintain efficient automated test suites using modern frameworks (such as Playwright, Cypress, Detox, Appium, or Maestro) and AI tools.
- Real Device Testing: Set up and manage mobile testing strategies, including integration with real device farms (e.g., BrowserStack).
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast and reliable feedback to the development team.
- API & Integration Testing: Validate backend services and third-party connectors, handling retry scenarios, timeouts, errors, and unexpected responses.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with developers—empowering them to keep quality as a shared responsibility—and mentor other members of the QA team.
- Release Management:



Guide production readiness testing and support app store deployment processes (App Store / Google Play).

Requirements

- Proven Experience: 3+ years in software quality assurance (QA), with a clear career progression from Functional QA to Automation.
- Leadership & Structure: Demonstrable experience structuring QA processes and strategies from scratch for complex digital products or projects.
- Test Automation: Solid experience configuring and using web and/or mobile test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Detox, Appium, Maestro, or similar).
- Programming Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of software development logic and programming (in any language) to fluidly interact with code and leverage AI-assisted tools.
- API Testing: Mastery of web service and integration testing using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar.
- Mobile Testing: Deep understanding of mobile environments, app lifecycles, and testing on real devices/farms (BrowserStack).
- English Level: Advanced C1 (Fluent spoken and written), capable of leading technical and strategic conversations directly with international clients.

Nice-to-Haves

- Experience testing digital ordering platforms, e-commerce systems, loyalty programs, or conversational AI voice agents.
- Familiarity with mobile development environments in React Native.
- Fundamental knowledge or experience in performance, accessibility, or security testing.
