Job Description: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Eskolare, where we develop technology solutions to streamline financial management in educational institutions. Your role will focus on ensuring the performance and integrity of our financial systems, particularly in the context of our Banking as a Service (BaaS) offering. You will identify issues in transactions and integrations within our ecosystem, working closely with a variety of partners to optimize our payment processes and financial operations. As a central figure in our financial operations, you will collaborate with engineering, product, accounting, and customer support teams to drive improvements and resolve discrepancies. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide seamless financial services to over 3,000 educational institutions across Brazil.

About the Role

Your role will focus on ensuring the performance and integrity of our financial systems, particularly in the context of our Banking as a Service (BaaS) offering. You will identify issues in transactions and integrations within our ecosystem, working closely with a variety of partners to optimize our payment processes and financial operations. As a central figure in our financial operations, you will collaborate with engineering, product, accounting, and customer support teams to drive improvements and resolve discrepancies. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide seamless financial services to over 3,000 educational institutions across Brazil.

Key Responsibilities





- Transaction and Performance Monitoring: Oversee transaction settlements and payment splitting to ensure accurate liquidity flows among schools, vendors, and Eskolare.
- Partner Management: Act as the primary technical operational point of contact for key financial partners, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and performance metrics.
- Payment Monitoring: Track and analyze transactional performance across various payment methods (Pix, Credit Card, Boleto), addressing issues such as chargebacks and inconsistencies.
- Financial Reconciliation and Cost Optimization: Support the reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate reporting between internal systems and financial institutions.
- KPI Management: Create and maintain financial KPI dashboards, documenting operational flows and business rules in Confluence.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with technical, product, and support teams to enhance our financial products and resolve operational issues.

Required Skills

- Solid practical experience with financial operations and payment methods (Pix, Boleto, Credit Card), as well as BaaS infrastructure.
- Proficiency in accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation processes, and chargeback management.
- Understanding of API integrations with payment gateways and fiscal automation (e.g., e-Notas).




- Intermediate SQL skills for generating reconciliation reports and analyzing transactions.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau) for dashboard creation.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets abilities for operational reconciliations.
- Familiarity with task management tools (Confluence, Jira).
- Strong analytical reasoning for tracking transaction discrepancies and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for managing partnerships and technical problem-solving.

Preferred Skills

- Previous experience in fintech, marketplaces, or payment/BaaS ecosystems.
- Knowledge of Central Bank regulations regarding payment arrangements.
- Proficiency in report automation through scripting (Python or similar).
