About the Job

Global Cable & Wire is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support our growing distribution network.

This is a full-time remote position responsible for coordinating and monitoring shipments throughout North America, from initial shipping arrangements through final delivery and resolution of any shipping-related issues.

The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with carriers, vendors, warehouses, customers, and internal departments to obtain shipping quotes, coordinate pickups, prepare shipping documentation, track deliveries, investigate shipment issues, and manage carrier claims when necessary.

This position requires someone who is highly organized, resourceful, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership of logistics issues from beginning to end. The ideal candidate can manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accurate documentation and consistent follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate ground, freight, and LTL shipments from pickup through final delivery.
- Obtain, review, and compare freight, expedited, and special-delivery quotations .
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, vendors, suppliers, and warehouses.
- Prepare, review, and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs)



and other shipping documentation.
- Track shipments and proactively monitor their progress through final delivery.
- Communicate with carriers regarding missed pickups, delays, delivery exceptions, lost shipments, damaged material, shortages, and other shipping-related issues .
- Investigate shipping and delivery issues and work with the appropriate parties toward resolution.
- Open carrier claims through carrier portals for lost, damaged, missing, or otherwise affected shipments.
- Gather and submit required claim documentation, including invoices, BOLs, tracking information, photographs, proof of delivery, packing documentation, and other supporting evidence.
- Monitor open claims, communicate with carriers, maintain documentation, and follow claims through resolution .
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to obtain information or documentation required for claims and shipment investigations.
- Handle shipment discrepancies and determine appropriate next steps in coordination with the appropriate departments.
- Coordinate expedited and time-sensitive deliveries when required.
- Communicate tracking information, delivery status, and shipment updates accurately and professionally.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with carriers, vendors, warehouses, customers, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, quotes, claims, issues, follow-ups, and resolutions.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve order and shipping-related matters.
- Manage multiple active shipments, claims,



and requests while maintaining accuracy and timely follow-up.
- Escalate significant shipping issues internally when appropriate.
- Support the continued improvement of logistics procedures, documentation, and workflows.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight, shipping coordination, distribution, or a related field.
- English proficiency C1 or higher required , with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience coordinating ground, freight, and LTL shipments .
- Experience obtaining freight quotes and coordinating directly with carriers.
- Knowledge of BOLs, freight documentation, pickups, tracking, proof of delivery, and delivery coordination .
- Experience investigating shipment discrepancies, delays, damages, shortages, or lost shipments.
- Experience opening, documenting, tracking, and following carrier claims through carrier portals .
- Strong understanding of shipping and transportation terminology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of issues through resolution.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize urgent and time-sensitive shipping matters.
- Comfortable handling inbound and outbound business calls throughout the workday.
- Experience using carrier portals, shipping platforms, CRM/ERP systems, or order-management systems.
- Ability to work independently, remain responsive, and maintain accountability in a remote environment.
- Previous experience in the wire and cable, electrical, industrial supply, distribution, or related industry is a plus .
- Team leadership, vendor management, or supervisory experience is highly preferred , as this position offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement into supervisory roles.
