Position Overview
We are seeking a Declines & Dismissals Specialist to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting our revenue cycle and patient communication processes by managing declined claims, patient dismissals, and follow-up outreach.
While we will provide full training, candidates with prior experience in patient communication, collections, or insurance follow-up will be highly successful in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and follow up on declined insurance claims
- Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances and next steps
- Conduct outbound calls and messaging to patients in a professional and empathetic manner
- Assist with patient dismissals in accordance with company policies
- Accurately document all communication and account updates
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve claim and billing issues
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, and messaging)
- Comfortable speaking with patients about financial matters
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Previous experience in collections, patient outreach, call centers, or dental/medical billing is a plus (but not required)
