At Tiny Village Cartagena we aim to build an island getaway that incorporates everything that makes Cartagena special from it’s architectural design, to its culture to its cuisine. Our “Tiny Villas” are stand alone structures which incorporate “Tiny house” design principles to afford maximum space and comfort per square foot, while still ensuring that the energy consumption of each Villa is environmentally responsible.

Role Description

This experienced Hotel Manager will help to oversee all areas of our hotel. This property requires a very hands-on professional approach to help over- see the day-to-day operations and financial performance of the hotel. Our Hotel Manager directly oversees the functions of the Front Office, House- keeping, and Food & Beverage Department; Establishes and maintains department policies and performance guidelines for all departments.

Who you are:

- Minimum of five (5) year’s supervisory experience in hotel operations with high customer/client contact preferred.
- Proficient in English oral and written.




- Experience supervising a team of 10 or more staff members.
- Professional references from within the hospitality industry.
- Organized, goal oriented, self-motivated, and energetic with a strong desire to achieve success.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holi- days as needed.
- The ability to manage island environment
- Ability and willingness to do participate in physical activity where needed
- All other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work with all types of people.

What you'll do:

- Interview, hire, train and terminate staff
- Monitor staff performance, ensuring the hotel is running well and guests are happy
- Coordinate all hotel department activities and re- solve any problems
- Set budgets and room rates, allocate funds and approve expenditures for various departments
- Keep track of the hotel’s financials
- Ensure guest satisfaction, address all guests concerns
- Answer guest questions about hotel services and policies
- Inspect the grounds, public areas and guest rooms for appearance and cleanliness
- Ensure company standards for housekeeping, decor and guest services are met
