We are looking for 2 Application Security Engineers to join a cybersecurity project focused on application security and vulnerability remediation.
• Location: Colombia
• Remote to the US
• Advanced English required
What you’ll do:
Analyze and validate application security vulnerabilities and findings.
Assess exploitability, technical impact, and business risk.
Provide secure coding and vulnerability remediation guidance to development teams.
Support remediation of vulnerabilities in proprietary code and third-party/open-source dependencies.
Review proposed fixes and validate supporting evidence.
Coordinate testing, rescanning, and vulnerability closure.
Develop reusable remediation patterns and secure coding recommendations.
Support preventive application security controls, including:
• Pull Request (PR) security scanning
• Secrets detection and management
• Dependency/security controls
• Security quality gates
• Collaborate with Information Security, Engineering, Application, QA, and Platform teams.
• Use AI-enabled techniques, where appropriate, to accelerate vulnerability analysis and remediation guidance.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in Application Security / AppSec
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability analysis and remediation
• Experience working with SAST, vulnerability scanning and/or application security tools
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and common application vulnerabilities
• Experience reviewing vulnerabilities in application code and software dependencies
• Understanding of OWASP vulnerabilities and secure SDLC practices
• Ability to work closely with developers and technical teams to drive remediation
• Advanced English
Experience with tools such as Checkmarx or similar SAST/AppSec platforms is highly valued.
