FP&A; Analyst
Join Sibill as an FP&A; Analyst, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, Étienne.
This role is central to the company, providing critical insights for management, the Board, and our investors.
You'll collaborate closely with the Finance team and various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and People, to transform operational data into strategic direction.
Your responsibilities will include building robust financial models, streamlining reporting processes, and ensuring data integrity.
Over the first ***** months, your focus will be on establishing solid foundations in planning and reporting, idóneo for someone looking to advance their skills in FP&A; within a fast-paced scale-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Modeling
Build and maintain business plan models, budgets, and forecasts (P&L;, cash flow, headcount).
Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
Support ad hoc analyses, including pricing, unit economics, and business cases.
Reporting
Prepare monthly management reports comparing actuals vs. budget, and analyze variances.
Contribute to materials for Board meetings and investor updates.
Continuously enhance the reporting process for speed and reliability.
Financial Statements & Accounting
Reconcile P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow with accounting records.
Assist in monthly and annual closures alongside the Finance team and external consultants.
Data Management
Extract and manipulate data using SQL from various sources including product, CRM, and billing systems.
Ensure the quality and consistency of financial data across systems.
Automate manual processes wherever feasible.
Required Skills
1–3 years of experience in FP&A;, management control, audit, or transaction services.
Ability to read and understand financial statements, focusing on the relationship between P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow.
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for building clear and structured models.
Experience using SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Previous experience in developing planning and reporting models.
Comfort with manual data work, prioritizing data reliability over sophisticated models.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Metabase or similar BI tools.
Knowledge of SaaS metrics and principles of Italian accounting (OIC).
Mindset
Detail-oriented, with an understanding that inaccuracies in reporting can have significant implications.
Interested in understanding the "why" behind discrepancies.
Ability to balance rigor with efficiency.
Passionate about creating effective processes, even behind the scenes.
