Job Description: FinOps Specialist

About the Role

As a FinOps Specialist, you will play a crucial role in transforming cloud financial management within our projects, services, and organization. This position is essential for ensuring that businesses fully leverage cloud services while managing costs effectively. You will collaborate with production and project teams to implement automated, secure deployment processes and maintain a keen awareness of public and private cloud trends. Your mission will include fostering a FinOps culture, focusing on optimizing cloud expenses, and providing financial visibility through dashboards and KPIs. You will support clients' cloud architects and experts, facilitating knowledge transfer to enhance overall cloud management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement FinOps culture across projects, services, and the organization.
- Monitor and report cloud financial elements through dashboards and KPIs for operational and management teams.
- Define and automate technical and organizational processes.
- Analyze cloud expenditures to identify areas for cost optimization.
- Assist technical teams in establishing best cloud management practices, including tagging policies and script development.

Required Skills





- Strong technical expertise in cloud platforms with in-depth understanding of financial implications.
- Proficiency with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud).
- Familiarity with cloud cost management tools (CloudWatch, Aptio, Cost Explorer).
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with technical and financial personnel.
- Solid understanding of cloud pricing models and knowledge in finance and accounting.
