Job Description: Senior Fin Ops Practitioner

NCS Australia is looking for a Senior Fin Ops Practitioner to join our Cloud & Digital Practice. This key role is focused on providing Fin Ops advisory services and cloud financial management across major cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
This position is essential for helping enterprise clients optimize their cloud expenditures, enhance financial accountability, and drive business growth through effective financial management strategies. In this customer-facing consulting role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Architects, Delivery Teams, and Customer Success Managers.

The mission is to elevate the Fin Ops maturity of our clients and deliver measurable business outcomes through strategic consultations and pre-sales engagements.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver comprehensive Fin Ops consulting and cloud financial management services for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Conduct financial assessments to identify opportunities for cost optimization across cloud services.
- Develop and implement Fin Ops strategies and governance frameworks that align with business objectives, including continuous improvement roadmaps.
- Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives, including resource rightsizing, commitment management (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances), and architectural recommendations.
- Lead Fin Ops pre-sales activities including discovery workshops, solution design, proposal creation, effort estimation, and SOW development.
- Manage Fin Ops maturity assessments and provide executive-level reporting, dashboards,



Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) using Flexera One CCO and native cost management tools.
- Provide analytical services including forecasting, budgeting, showback/chargeback, cost allocation, and cloud consumption reports.
- Support migrations to Flexera One CCO, establishing best practices in cloud financial governance.
- Facilitate workshops, executive presentations, and stakeholder engagements.

Required Skills

- Significant experience in Fin Ops, Cloud Consulting, Technical Account Management, or related fields.
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP billing models and commercial frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Flexera One CCO (highly preferred), AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing, and Cloud Health.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven track record in presenting executive-level business reviews.
- Background in Managed Services, Cloud Professional Services, or large-scale cloud transformation programs.

Preferred Skills

- Flexera Certified Cloud Cost Optimization Administrator (highly preferred).




- Fin Ops Certified Practitioner and relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL Foundation certification.

- Conduct cloud cost optimization strategies including rightsizing, resource lifecycle management, and commitment management.
- Oversee financial governance frameworks focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation methods.
- Manage cloud financial reporting and analytics to enhance transparency and accountability in cloud spending.
