We're hiring: Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant — Personal Injury | 100% Remote
Arvenda is a staffing company connecting top LATAM talent with U.S.-based law firms. We are recruiting a detail-oriented, bilingual Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant , supporting personal injury cases from intake through demand — before cases proceed to formal litigation.
The core responsibilities are the same as a Litigation Legal Assistant, with one key difference: this role operates exclusively in the pre-litigation stage and does not manage court filings or service emails from opposing counsel.
Bilingual English/Spanish required. Florida personal injury experience required.
What you'll do
- Send and process health insurance, Medicaid, workers' compensation, VA, and STD/LTD liens via certified mail and fax
- Order and process PIP logs; forward updated insurance letters to providers once benefits are exhausted
- Download, request, and process medical records and bills from provider portals and third-party services (e.g., Chartswap)
- Verify balances on the medical tab; follow up by phone on unresolved balances and document all activity
- Send insurance information letters to all providers at case onset and when new providers are added
- Compile all demand exhibits and send completed demand packages; follow up on receipt
- Maintain file organization using the firm's naming convention; conduct scheduled file reviews
- Follow up with clients on health cards, wage verification forms, and outstanding items
- Conduct FLMVR and LexisNexis searches and obtain crash reports as assigned
What we're looking for
- Bilingual — English and Spanish, written and spoken — required
- Experience in Florida personal injury law — required
- Strong understanding of lien processing, PIP, medical records, balance verification, and demand preparation
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication for provider, adjuster, and client interactions
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
