FinOps Analyst
As a FinOps Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing cloud consumption and costs. Your primary responsibility will be to convert financial and operational data into actionable insights to facilitate informed decision-making for management. You will connect cloud service costs with various applications, products, services, and workloads, while continuously monitoring budgets, forecasts, and optimization opportunities. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across different departments to support the operational implementation of established FinOps practices. The insights you provide will directly impact financial efficiency and cloud resource management, fostering improved decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze cloud consumption and costs to identify trends, anomalies, and variances.
- Perform budget tracking and forecasting across various business dimensions.
- Support cost allocation, showback, and chargeback processes.
- Produce FinOps reporting and management indicators, including cost views by application or service.




- Correlate cost variations with usage patterns and workload changes.
- Monitor data quality, tagging, and allocation criteria used for reporting.
- Identify optimization opportunities and assist in their prioritization and follow-up.
- Prepare materials for FinOps ceremonies and facilitate stakeholder decision-making.
- Identify requirements pertaining to data, reporting, or configuration.
