About the Role: We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Bookkeeper to own the accuracy, execution, and day-to-day integrity of our books. This individual will manage core accounting operations, enforce strict financial hygiene, and oversee high-volume AR/AP workflows across a multi-currency general operational footprint. You will serve as the primary steward of our general ledger, ensuring our financial operations are seamless, compliant, and scalable as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:

- General Ledger & Systems Management: Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations in QuickBooks Online, ensuring proper chart-of-accounts structure, transaction tagging, and accurate categorization.

- AR/AP Workflows: Lead end-to-end accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, from vendor invoice verification to prompt client collections and payables scheduling.

- Invoicing & Cash Collection: Manage invoicing, complex billing requests, and systematic follow-ups on outstanding collections to optimize cash flow.

- Billing Operations: Maintain pristine, precise records for both manual billing and automated recurring subscription plans across our client base.

- Month-End Close Support: Partner with leadership to support month-end,



quarter-end, and year-end closes, consistently executing tasks to close the books quickly, accurately, and predictably.

- Audit Readiness & Financial Hygiene: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts to ensure all financial data is audit-ready, standardized, and properly documented.

- Revenue Recognition: Assist in proper revenue recognition and deferred revenue scheduling for annual, quarterly, and custom upfront client payment plans.

- Multi-Currency Operations: Accurately record, reconcile, and account for multi-currency transactions and exchange rate variations across USD, GBP, and AUD.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal operations, administrative staff, and external HR/payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll processing and expense allocation.

- Process Optimization & Tech Stack: Leverage AI-forward accounting tools, automation scripts, and modern digital workflows to eliminate repetitive tasks and scale productivity.

Qualifications:

- Proven Track Record: 3–5+ years of hands-on senior-level bookkeeping managing complex ledgers.

- QBO Expertise: Deep, advanced hands-on experience navigating and optimizing QuickBooks Online for high-volume transactions.

- Corporate Scale:



Direct experience in corporate-level accounting or bookkeeping for mid-to-high revenue businesses with high transaction volumes.

- AR/AP Operational Mastery: Strong proficiency in end-to-end vendor payment processing, invoicing, billing systems, and collections control.

- Revenue Accounting Principles: solid understanding of accrual-based accounting, revenue recognition, and handling deferred revenue schedules.

- Multi-Currency Fluency: Hands-on experience executing multi-currency reconciliations and managing foreign exchange rate nuances.

- Autonomy & Ownership: Ability to work independently in a remote environment, take full ownership of deliverables, and solve operational bottlenecks with minimal direction.

- Precision & Integrity: Meticulous attention to detail with an uncompromised standard for audit readiness, clear paper trails, and data hygiene.

Nice to have:

- Payment Processing Platforms: Practical experience managing payment gateways and merchant accounts via Stripe.

- Spend Management Tools: Hands-on experience using corporate card and spend management platforms like Brex.

- Industry Context: Direct bookkeeping experience within SaaS, subscription platforms, or recurring revenue business models.

- CRM Integration: Familiarity with HubSpot to extract pipeline context, deal terms, and customer lifecycle data for accurate billing.

- Modern Tech & Automation: A tech-forward mindset comfortable integrating AI tools, automated reconciliations, and workflow recipes (e.g., Zapier, modern accounting apps) into daily routines.
