We are seeking an experienced Senior P&C; Facultative Underwriter to drive profitable portfolio growth, create new business opportunities, and strengthen strategic client relationships across the Andean Region.
As a senior member of the facultative underwriting team, you will exercise broader underwriting authority, contribute to portfolio strategy, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and brokers. You will work in close coordination with regional underwriting centers and cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, provide technical expertise, and support the execution of the regional business strategy.
The territorial scope includes Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Chile.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the execution of the Property & Casualty Facultative underwriting strategy for the Andean Region.
- Originate, structure, negotiate, and underwrite profitable facultative transactions across Property and Casualty lines.




- Drive sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining underwriting discipline and portfolio profitability.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region and beyond.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key brokers, cedents, and industry stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by developing tailored risk transfer solutions and delivering value-added insights.
- Evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, contract structures, capacity deployment, and underwriting conditions.
- Review insurance and reinsurance contract wordings with support from legal and wording specialists.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and risk quality.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, competitive developments, and emerging risks.
- Track regulatory developments and assess their impact on portfolios and client needs.
