Overview
The Ethoca Finance organization within MasterCard Controllership team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to join them as the Senior Accountant. This position will report to the Manager, Accounting. This position is based in Bogota, Columbia.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing Ethoca’s (a Mastercard Company) billing, recording and reconciling revenue to enable accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of financial statements and other financial data.
This individual is responsible for resolving inquiries from customers, internal sales team and other business unit teams regarding billing and revenue reporting.
Role
- Prepare revenue accrual and revenue true up files monthly
- Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP and post journal entries in Netsuite
- Manage monthly billing cycle for issuers and merchants
- Prepare monthly sales tax report for Mastercard entities and other ad-hoc management reports
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
- Provide customer service support to help resolve billing issues in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop processes and implement them
- Perform month end closing processes
- Analyze variance and resolve root cause of the discrepancy in a timely manner
- Work closely with upstream teams to set up new customers properly in Salesforce and Netsuite
- Review sales contracts
