Job Offer: Test Engineer

Location: Bogota / On-site

Department: Type Approvals / Homologation

: We are looking for a Test Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, verifying, and optimizing the performance of next-generation mobile devices in real-world network scenarios prior to their market launch. You will conduct dynamic testing (drive tests, walk tests, and static testing), analyze signal logs, and ensure that terminals meet performance standards and network operator compatibility requirements.

Responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities
- Field Testing Execution: Design and execute field test plans (drive/walk tests) to verify voice calls (VoLTE, VoNR), data services (5G/4G/3G), latency, handovers, and overall stability.
- Log Capture and Analysis: Extract, analyze, and interpret network and device logs using specialized diagnostic tools to identify performance failures or connection drops.
- Network Performance Analysis: Validate the behavior of the device's modem and antennas under different coverage conditions.




- Bug Reporting and Tracking: Document failures in detail (steps to reproduce, log files, geographic location).

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or technologist in Telecommunications, Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills

- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in field testing or mobile terminal homologation areas.
- Network Knowledge: Solid understanding of mobile network architecture (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G NSA/SA), cellular signaling, frequency bands, and physical/link layer protocols.
- Diagnostic Tools Proficiency: Experience with log capture and analysis software and platforms such as QXDM, QCAT, and ELT.
- Desired English Level: For drafting technical reports and communicating with the local team.

Pay range and compensation package

- Salary range: 4 to 5 million COP
