About the Opportunity

This is a hands-on purchasing role focused specifically on finished bathroom and plumbing products used in residential remodeling projects. The idóneo candidate has prior experience purchasing products such as faucets, shower systems, tubs, toilets, sinks, vanities, bathroom accessories, or similar plumbing fixtures.

Direct experience purchasing bathroom or plumbing products is required. General procurement experience without relevant product/category experience will not be sufficient for this role.

What You'll Do

You will support the day-to-day purchasing of established bathroom and plumbing products, working with existing and alternative suppliers to ensure products are purchased at competitive prices and available when needed.

Responsibilities will include:

- Process and manage purchases for specified bathroom and plumbing products/SKUs
- Request and compare supplier quotes based on price, availability and lead time
- Research alternative purchasing options when pricing is unfavorable or products are unavailable/backordered
- Work with distributors, manufacturers and other approved suppliers to obtain products efficiently
- Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms when appropriate
- Create and manage purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
- Track open orders, shipment status and expected delivery dates
- Follow up with suppliers and expedite orders when project schedules are at risk
- Resolve pricing discrepancies, availability issues,



delayed orders and other purchasing problems
- Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with suppliers and vendor representatives
- Communicate purchasing risks, delays and available options clearly to the U.S.-based team

Required Experience

- Prior purchasing/procurement experience with finished bathroom and/or plumbing products is REQUIRED
- Direct experience with products such as faucets, shower systems, tubs, toilets, sinks, vanities, bathroom accessories or plumbing fixtures
- Experience working with distributors and/or manufacturers
- Experience comparing vendor pricing, availability and lead times
- Experience creating and tracking purchase orders and following orders through delivery
- Comfortable contacting suppliers, requesting quotes and resolving order issues independently
- Strong written and spoken English
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable working approximately 8:30 AM–5:30 PM U.S. Eastern Time
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor and receiving monthly payment through Deel

Nice to Have

Experience purchasing for a home remodeling company, plumbing contractor, residential construction company, homebuilder, real estate developer, hotel/hospitality company, or building-materials organization is especially relevant.

Experience purchasing through major plumbing/building-product distributors such as Ferguson or similar suppliers is also valuable.
