We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Recognition Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team.

The successful candidate will work closely with Accounting, FP&A;, Project Management, and Operations teams in both Colombia and the United States, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606.

What You'll Do

✅ Own the monthly revenue recognition process for active projects across multiple entities.

✅ Review contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and project documentation to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment.

✅ Prepare percentage-of-completion (cost-to-cost) calculations and project-level revenue recognition schedules.

✅ Calculate deferred revenue, overbillings, underbillings, accruals, and revenue adjustments.

✅ Analyze project margins, revenue trends, and contract performance.

✅ Identify cost overruns, margin deterioration, and potential losses.

✅ Partner with Project Management, Operations, Accounting, and FP&A; teams to ensure accurate project reporting.

✅ Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

✅ Reconcile revenue recognition schedules with the general ledger.

✅ Support audit processes and maintain complete documentation for revenue recognition activities.





✅ Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements.

What We're Looking For

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

✔ 2-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Revenue Recognition, Project Accounting, or related areas.

✔ Knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606.

✔ Understanding of project accounting concepts such as percentage-of-completion, cost-to-complete, contract value, and change orders.

✔ Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large datasets.

✔ Experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI.

✔ Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems.

✔ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

✔ Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

✔ Ability to work cross-functionally with international teams.

✔ English proficiency at a minimum B2 level, with the ability to participate in meetings, communicate professionally, and collaborate daily with teams based in the United States.
