We are looking for a Lead Python Engineer to own GitHub Enterprise administration, governance, and reporting across an organization-wide setup. You will build Python automation around GitHub data, support audit requests, and improve developer workflows while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

- Administer GitHub Enterprise organizations, teams, repositories, and access controls
- Define and enforce Git governance, workflows, and repository best practices
- Manage GitHub Copilot models and licenses including configuration, governance, and budgeting
- Build Python scripts to extract, process, and maintain GitHub operational data
- Implement reporting pipelines using BigQuery and enable visualization for stakeholders
- Coordinate audit support by providing evidence, documentation, and timely responses
- Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to improve CI/CD integrations and developer experience
- Support on-call rotation and troubleshoot urgent GitHub Enterprise issues as needed

Requirements

- 5+ years of Python experience building operational automation
- 5+ years of experience administering GitHub Enterprise at scale
- Strong leadership skills to drive governance and best practices across teams
- Proven project ownership skills for delivering reliable reporting and automation
- Expert GitHub API skills for data extraction and workflow automation




- Strong Git operations skills including branching strategies and access controls
- Clear communication skills for cross-team coordination and audit support
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Nice to have

- Google Cloud Platform experience supporting data and platform integrations
- BigQuery experience building datasets and operational reporting
- Kubernetes familiarity for platform or tooling integrations
- Terraform experience managing infrastructure-as-code for platform services
- Ansible experience automating configuration tasks
