Overview
The Legal Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal assistants in the management of personal injury cases. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate documentation, handling records requests, supporting case preparation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day legal operations.
The adecuado candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Case Documentation & Records Management
• Prepare and submit non-legal forms to insurance companies and medical providers.
• Request and obtain:
• Police reports
• 911 call recordings
• Body camera footage
• Review, organize, and categorize incoming case-related documents.
• Request and review:
• Updated medical records
• Medical logs
• Liens
• Supporting documentation
• Conduct criminal background searches.
Case Support
• Assist attorneys and legal assistants in gathering evidence and information needed to establish valid claims.
• Support case preparation by ensuring all required documentation is complete and updated.
• Complete additional case-related tasks assigned by attorneys or legal staff.
Communication & Coordination
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding case documentation and requests.
• Follow up with medical providers to obtain records and necessary information.
• Coordinate effectively with attorneys, legal assistants, and records personnel.
Billing & Administrative Support
• Assist the Records Department with:
• Invoice processing
• Document uploads
• Enter and verify billing ledger information.
• Maintain accurate administrative and financial records.
Required Qualifications
Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in a Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Support, Records Specialist, or similar administrative
