The ASC Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the surgery center and the surgery center nurses.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Assist with ASC supply needs and restocks
• Maintain knowledge of pre/post-op medications
• Perform administrative duties pertinent to position




• Complete all pre/post-op documentation requirements
• Provide consent forms and obtain necessary signatures
• Bring consent and Advanced Directive issues to the attention of the ASC Manager
• Perform proper break-down and submission of surgical chart and route slips post-op
• Perform chart reviews and prepare charts for the next day cases
• Assist with patient flow and care at time of entry to the ASC and upon return to the PACU until discharge
• Ensure patient has met pre-op requirements
• Reconcile anesthesia records daily to allow billing by anesthesia providers
• Provide patient nourishment post-op under the direction of the PACU RN
• Print and review surgery schedules and patient labels
• Review patient charts for appropriate orders, testing, and lenses
• Communicate and provide support for front desk, pre-op, and PACU
• Provide support for nurses, techs, and doctors with various tasks
• Confirm correct lenses are pulled for
