Project Architect | Multifamily & Mixed-Use Buildings | NYC Projects

We are looking for experienced Project Architects based in Colombia to join a US-based architecture team working on high-quality multifamily and mixed-use projects in New York City.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architect with strong architectural design and technical skills, advanced Revit proficiency, excellent English communication skills, and experience developing architectural projects from design through construction documentation.

About the Role

As a Project Architect, you will lead the architectural design and development of 2–3 projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality design, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architectural design and development of multifamily and mixed-use projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables.
- Develop and review detailed architectural drawings and construction documentation.
- Translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound architectural solutions.
- Collaborate with structural, MEP, interior design, and other consultants.
- Coordinate architectural information across different project disciplines.
- Review drawings and documentation for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and project requirements.




- Participate in design and coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Identify design and technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Support the project team throughout different phases of design and documentation.
- Maintain high standards of architectural quality, attention to detail, and technical execution.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 10 years of proven experience as a Project Architect or in a similar architectural role.
- Strong overall architectural skills, particularly in multifamily and/or mixed-use projects.
- Experience with medium-rise and/or high-rise buildings is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit for architectural design and documentation.
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and architectural standards.
- Experience coordinating with structural, MEP, and other consultants.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent English — strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote, US-based environment.

Experience working with US-based architecture firms, NYC projects, US building codes, or international clients is a strong plus.
