Dugalzi is a company dedicated to the export of coffee, focused on connecting producers and suppliers with international buyers and developing commercial opportunities in international markets.

Position Description

As a Financial Analyst at Dugalzi , you will be responsible for analyzing economic, financial, and commercial information to support the company’s strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, budgets, financial projections, and financial models. You will also participate in the formulation and financial evaluation of investment projects , assessing their economic feasibility, profitability, risks, and capital requirements.

You will evaluate projects related to the purchase, commercialization, and export of coffee, including cost analysis, working capital requirements, profit margins, cash flow, expected returns, and different financial scenarios.

You will also be responsible for identifying financial risks and business opportunities, conducting sensitivity and scenario analyses, monitoring budget performance, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations to optimize Dugalzi’s profitability and financial resources.

This is a full-time remote position , allowing you to work from wherever you choose while maintaining effective and continuous communication with the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare budgets, financial projections, and cash flow models.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
- Conduct financial project formulation and investment project evaluation .
- Evaluate the economic and financial feasibility of new coffee export projects.
- Calculate financial indicators such as NPV, IRR, ROI, WACC, break-even point, and payback period .




- Prepare sensitivity analyses and different financial scenarios.
- Analyze procurement, logistics, export, commercialization, and financing costs.
- Determine working capital requirements for each transaction or project.
- Analyze profitability margins by customer, product, transaction, and container.
- Identify financial, commercial, and operational risks associated with projects.
- Monitor budgets and analyze variances between projected and presente results.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and potential investors.
- Support the financial structuring of projects and investment proposals.
- Analyze different financing alternatives and their impact on project profitability.
- Collaborate with the commercial, operations, and management teams to evaluate new business opportunities.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve Dugalzi’s profitability and financial sustainability.

Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Financial Engineering, or a related field .
- Previous experience in financial analysis, project evaluation, or financial planning.
- Strong knowledge of investment project formulation and financial evaluation .
- Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of financial indicators such as NPV, IRR, ROI, WACC, EBITDA, cash flow, and break-even analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and management reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large volumes of numerical data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis or Business Intelligence tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong time-management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Results-oriented mindset and ability to present financial analysis
