This position will report to the Manager, Accounting. This position is based in Bogota, Columbia.The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing Ethoca’s (a Mastercard Company) billing, recording and reconciling revenue to enable accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of financial statements and other financial data. This individual is responsible for resolving inquiries from customers, internal sales team and other business unit teams regarding billing and revenue reporting.RolePrepare revenue accrual and revenue true up files monthlyPrepare monthly journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP and post journal entries in NetsuiteManage monthly billing cycle for issuers and merchantsPrepare monthly sales tax report for Mastercard entities and other ad-hoc management reportsPrepare balance sheet account reconciliationsProvide customer service support to help resolve billing issues in a timely mannerIdentify opportunities for process improvement,



develop processes and implement themPerform month end closing processesAnalyze variance and resolve root cause of the discrepancy in a timely mannerWork closely with upstream teams to set up new customers properly in Salesforce and NetsuiteReview sales contracts and maintain amortization schedule for incentivesSupport a strong control environment by establishing, monitoring and enforcing operational and SOX controls based on corporate guidelines and general governance standards. Identify areas where controls can be strengthened and participate in SOX testing and internal and external auditsAssist in accounting research and provide recommendations on various topics to support Ethoca Controllership and actively participate in various projects and initiativesAll About YouFluent in English (Professional – C) requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA and/or MBA preferredSolid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting proceduresExperience in Netsuite and Oracle preferredPrior work experience in revenue accounting and billing processes preferredExperience in leading teams and managing financial operations in multinational organizations a plusStrong analytical and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsExcellent skills in MS Excel and PowerPointResults-driven and motivated to drive change in a complex organizationCorporate Security ResponsibilityAll activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must: Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices; Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.Everyone wants easier ways to pay; we invent them.
