About the RoleAt Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Senior Accountant to own core accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
This is a hands-on accounting role for someone who understands GAAP, accrual accounting, NetSuite, and full-cycle accounting and can maintain accurate, audit-ready financials while improving processes as the business grows.
You’ll work closely with finance leadership, FP&A;, operations, and junior accounting team members.
What You’ll OwnMonth-End Close & General Ledger• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, payroll, depreciation, and intercompany transactions
• Maintain trial balances, close checklists, and supporting schedules
• Target month-end close completion within 5–7 business days

Reconciliations & Accounting Operations• Reconcile cash, AR, AP, deferred revenue, inventory, and fixed assets




• Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
• Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready financial records
• Ensure appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP

Financial Reporting• Prepare P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
• Analyze budget vs. vigente and forecast vs. actual performance
• Investigate material variances and provide clear commentary
• Support leadership and executive reporting

Audit, Compliance & Controls• Prepare PBC schedules and documentation for external audits
• Support tax and compliance requirements
• Maintain strong accounting controls and documentation
• Ensure financial records remain audit-ready

Process Improvement & Automation• Identify inefficient or manual accounting workflows
• Improve reconciliations, reporting, and close processes
• Support ERP optimization and accounting automation
• Maintain and improve accounting SOPs
