The Firmware & Product Test (FPT) team plays a critical role in delivering high-quality enterprise SSD solutions by ensuring firmware functionality, reliability, and compliance. We work across simulation, FPGA, and hardware environments to validate modern storage technologies, build scalable automation, and drive continuous improvement in validation methodologies. Our team values technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation, including the use of AI-enabled tools to enhance engineering productivity and quality.
The Engineer (E2) on the Firmware & Product Testing (FPT) team supports the validation of enterprise SSD firmware through test development, automation, execution, and failure analysis.
Responsibilities




- Develop and implement firmware verification plans for enterprise SSD customer requirements and NVMe features, including SMART, Trim, Get Log Page, and OCP compliance.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Python and FPT automation frameworks to improve test coverage and regression efficiency.
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, document findings, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Analyze test results and communicate quality metrics, risks, and mitigation plans to team members and management.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement efforts to enhance automation quality, maintainability, and testing effectiveness.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, Generative AI, and intelligent workflows to improve test development, debugging, data analysis, and reporting.
