JA Coffee is looking for an experienced Green Coffee Risk Manager to support the management of our physical coffee positions, futures exposure, foreign exchange risk, and trading margins.
We are looking for someone with direct experience in the green coffee trade who understands how physical coffee contracts interact with the futures market and is comfortable monitoring and managing risk across a coffee trading book.

The right person will be familiar with the day-to-day realities of green coffee trading, including physical positions, futures, fixations, differentials, market exposure, and margin management, and will work closely with our sourcing, sales, finance, and management teams.

Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage JA Coffee’s overall green coffee market exposure, including physical, futures, and FX positions
• Maintain an accurate view of long and short positions, open purchase and sales contracts, inventory, and forward commitments
• Manage and reconcile physical coffee and futures positions, including hedges, fixations, differentials, contract months, and rolls




• Identify and address over-hedged, under-hedged, and unhedged exposure
• Monitor mark-to-market, hedge performance, trading margins, and basis risk
• Support the execution and reconciliation of futures and other hedging transactions in line with company risk policies
• Monitor ICE Coffee C futures, FX markets, and relevant market developments that may impact coffee prices and margins
• Conduct ongoing coffee market analysis, incorporating crop developments, weather, origin differentials, currencies, inventories, exports, logistics, and macroeconomic factors
• Help build and maintain a centralized coffee risk and market intelligence platform bringing together positions, contracts, inventory, futures, FX, and key market data
• Prepare clear daily and weekly risk, exposure, and market reports for management
• Work closely with sourcing, sales, finance, and management to support purchasing, selling,
