Discover the Role

As a Senior Database Administrator (L3 DBA Support Engineer), you will be responsible for delivering advanced database administration and operational support across TMF Group’s global SQL Server environments. You will act as the final escalation point for complex database incidents, drive automation and optimization initiatives, and contribute to the design and implementation of high availability, disaster recovery, and performance improvement strategies.

We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented professional with strong Database Operations experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and fluent English communication. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the resolution of complex database incidents, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Problem Management activities.
- Design, implement, and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.




- Optimize SQL Server performance through advanced troubleshooting, monitoring, and tuning.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell, T-SQL, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams to define database standards, best practices, and technical guidelines.
- Mentor and support engineers, promoting operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct capacity planning, database audits, and compliance-related activities.
- Plan, approve, and execute database changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities across global environments.
- Drive proactive monitoring, alerting, health checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage backup and recovery strategies, security configurations, patching, and database lifecycle management.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), primarily supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Proven expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database operations.
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Strong knowledge of PowerShell and T-SQL scripting.
- Experience with SSRS and SSIS.
- Knowledge of Azure SQL and Azure database services.
- Experience working with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).




- Exposure to Azure Cosmos DB and other cloud database technologies is desirable.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or Cassandra.
- Experience managing database audits, compliance activities, and change management processes.
- Strong understanding of version control and database deployment processes across multiple environments.
- Fluent English (C1) written and spoken.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working effectively with global and multicultural teams.
