About Live Free

Live Free is a hospitality company that manages vacation rental properties for owners and hosts the guests who stay in them. Our growth rests on two relationships: owners who trust us with their properties, and guests who come back and send their friends. The Community Relations Manager is a new role built to deepen both.

The Role The Community Relations Manager fosters the Live Free community across our property owners, our past guests, and our team. This is a remote, full-time position that reports directly to the owner and covers the full portfolio.

The job comes down to four things:

- Foster the community. Make owners and guests feel part of something with Live Free, not just a transaction.
- Be an ear. Hear concerns, ideas, and warning signs early, and bring them forward before they become problems.
- Be a reporter. Turn what you hear and see into clear, honest reporting for leadership and for owners.
- Be a marketer. Reach past guests with warm, personal-feeling email, text, and retargeting that brings them back.

What You'll Do

Most of your hours go to owner relations and reporting. Guest marketing and systems work fill the rest.

Owner relations

- Run scheduled, camera-on check-ins with property owners over Zoom or Google Meet, prioritized by account value and retention risk.
- Walk owners through performance, upcoming bookings, and recommended improvements, and help them reach clear decisions on capital projects.
- Track Area Manager visits with owners and log each one in the CRM, so every owner has a complete contact history.
- Spot unhappy or at-risk owners early and raise them with leadership before they leave the portfolio.
- Recognize owners who know potential buyers or sellers, and hand real estate referrals to the right person.

Reporting

- Build owner-facing performance summaries that make the case for an improvement in plain numbers.
- Track referrals, repeat bookings, owner sentiment, and retention in one dashboard.
- Send the owner a short weekly update: wins, risks, and conversations in motion.
- Collect suggestions from owners, guests, and on-site teams and turn them into clear recommendations.

Guest marketing

- Write and run email, text, and retargeting campaigns to past guests, including win-back, loyalty, and milestone messages.
- Support the loyalty program and repeat-guest incentives with campaigns and copy.
- Create guest-facing content, such as property stories and guest spotlights, in a warm, personal voice.

Systems

- Set up and maintain a CRM or equivalent so every owner and guest touchpoint is logged.
- Build repeatable templates: an owner call agenda, follow-up emails, and a tiered contact schedule.

- Work with property managers and operations staff so issues reach you without you being on site.

What You Bring

You are an analytical, direct communicator who is also warm, and you can do all four parts of this job well.

Required

- 3+ years in account management, client success, business development, hospitality, real estate, or an analyst role.
- Skill at turning data into a clear recommendation and presenting it to a client.
- Strong writing: warm, direct emails and campaign copy without a template.
- Honesty with kindness: you tell an owner the real number and the real case, and they still feel looked after.
- Self-management: you run your own schedule remotely and deliver without day-to-day oversight.
- Comfort with Zoom or Google Meet, spreadsheets, a CRM, and email-marketing tools.

Nice to have

- Experience in vacation rentals, hotels, or property management.
- Familiarity with real estate and investment property owners.
- Experience building a CRM or customer-tracking system from scratch.
- A background in content creation or marketing.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a remote, full-time role of about 40 hours a week, paid a monthly rate plus performance-based pay.
- Hours: About 40 per week, with fixed blocks for owner calls and the rest on a flexible schedule.
- Monthly pay: $2,500 to $3,000 per month, based on experience.
- Variable pay: Earned on top of your monthly pay and tied to owners retained and repeat guest bookings, plus small bonuses for referrals. We share the full structure in the interview.
- Engagement: Independent contractor to start, with room to grow as the portfolio and results grow.

How to Apply

Next steps are an intro call, then a working conversation where you run a mock owner check-in, then an offer.

Your potential leader:

- Jonathan Dempsey
