We’re Hiring: Engineering Research & Technical Team Leads

Location: Remote — Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, and Vietnam

Commitment: 40 hours per week, with 4 hours of daily PST overlap

About the Role

We are seeking experienced engineering and technical professionals to lead a team working on computational problem-solving, technical task development, and quality assurance. This role is adecuado for candidates with strong analytical skills, programming experience, technical review capabilities, and experience mentoring or leading teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and reviewing their work.
- Review technical problems, computational models, simulations, solutions, and automated tests.
- Validate engineering calculations, numerical methods, model assumptions, and computational results.
- Identify technical errors, assess solution accuracy, and provide actionable feedback.
- Ensure technical tasks are realistic, reproducible, and meet quality standards.
- Monitor team productivity, track revisions, and maintain consistent evaluation criteria.
- Use programming and computational tools to solve and assess complex technical problems.

Requirements

- Advanced technical experience or a PhD in Engineering,



Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computational Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language, such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB, Julia, or Fortran.
- Experience with computational modeling, numerical analysis, simulations, engineering calculations, or scientific computing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience reviewing technical work, validating results, or evaluating complex solutions.
- Experience mentoring colleagues, coordinating projects, or leading a small technical team.
- Familiarity with Linux, command-line tools, or reproducible computational workflows is an advantage.

Nice to Have

- Background in civil engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, mechanical engineering, or hydraulic modeling.
- Experience with simulation or analysis tools such as Abaqus, MATLAB, OpenSees, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, automated testing, or technical benchmarking.
- Experience in research, technical quality assurance, AI evaluation, or computational task development.

Compensation Up to $20 USD per hour, converted to your local currency.
