Job Summary
The Radiography Technologist I performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The role is responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, producing high-quality diagnostic images, maintaining radiation safety standards, and ensuring compliance with established clinical and departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Verify patient identification, examination requests, and relevant clinical information before procedures.
Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide appropriate instructions and reassurance.
Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain accurate and diagnostically useful images.
Operate radiographic imaging equipment safely and effectively.




Select appropriate imaging techniques and exposure factors based on the examination and patient condition.
Evaluate images for positioning, exposure, quality, and diagnostic adequacy.
Repeat examinations when necessary while minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure.
Apply appropriate radiation protection measures for patients, staff, and visitors.
Maintain radiation safety practices and comply with applicable departmental and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate patient records, examination documentation, and imaging-related reports.
Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of radiography equipment and report technical issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and infection prevention standards within imaging areas and equipment.
Assist with emergency imaging procedures when required.
Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
