Overview
• World Business Lenders (WBL) is a privately held portfolio lender specializing in real estate-secured business loans for underserved businesses. WBL operates with a fully remote, multinational workforce and an experienced executive leadership team.
• Typically, the work schedule is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, though additional hours may be required based on business needs.

About the Role
• The Cybersecurity Engineer helps protect WBL systems, devices, and information. This entry-level role monitors security activity, investigates alerts, and supports improvements to security controls under the direction of the Cybersecurity Team Lead and Infrastructure & Security Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor security alerts and logs; investigate suspicious activity, document findings, and promptly escalate potential incidents.

• Support incident response using established procedures, including evidence collection and approved containment actions.

• Run vulnerability scans, track remediation with system owners,



and verify that assigned findings are resolved.

• Assist with endpoint protection, email security, identity and access controls, and secure system configuration.

• Support access reviews, multifactor authentication, and least-privilege controls; identify and report exceptions.

• Maintain security procedures, incident records, and audit evidence; help deliver employee security awareness activities.

• Work with cloud, development, and Help Desk teams to implement approved security changes and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications
• Strong spoken and written English, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly and write accurate documentation.

• Foundational knowledge of networking, Windows or Linux, authentication, common threats, and security controls.
