What you’ll do
We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to own backend and frontend development in Clara’s Collections squad. You’ll build features end-to-end — from data models and APIs to the interfaces our customers and internal teams use. This is a high-ownership role: you won’t wait for a ticket to tell you what to do; you’ll identify gaps, propose solutions, and ship.
• Design and implement backend services in Java + Spring Boot, with a focus on financial flows (payments, collections,
reconciliation)
• Build and maintain frontend interfaces in React + TypeScript — you’re comfortable owning a feature across both layers
• Model data and manage PostgreSQL and Redis for transactional and caching needs
• Work with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar) in a distributed microservices environment
• Build and secure RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption
• Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) as a default part of your workflow — we expect this, not just welcome it
• Collaborate with your Pod Lead and PM to translate product needs into technical decisions, and push back when something doesn’t make sense
