Now Hiring: Construction Project Manager
? Full-Time | Remote | Bilingual (English & Spanish)
We’re looking for a technically strong, detail-oriented Construction Project Manager with an engineering or construction background to lead residential construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
In this role, you’ll combine technical construction knowledge, project planning, financial oversight, and team coordination to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with our Director of Operations, Supervisors, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep every phase of construction on track.
Experience with residential construction projects in the United States is highly desirable, particularly familiarity with U.S. construction methods, building codes, permitting processes, trade coordination, and project documentation.
This is a fully remote position requiring excellent written and spoken English and Spanish, with availability to work during U.S. Central Time (CT) business hours.
What you'll do:
- Construction Planning & Execution: Develop, manage, and update detailed project schedules covering preconstruction, procurement, construction, inspections, and closeout. Monitor progress against milestones and lead regular project production meetings.
- Technical & Engineering Coordination: Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and technical documentation. Coordinate with field teams and design professionals to resolve constructability issues and maintain alignment between design intent and on-site execution.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasts, purchase commitments, and change orders. Identify cost variances, protect project margins,
and support financially sound construction decisions without compromising quality.
- Field & Trade Coordination: Coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Monitor dependencies, resolve construction bottlenecks, and ensure materials, labor, and information are available when needed.
- U.S. Construction Standards & Documentation: Support compliance with applicable project requirements, building codes, permitting procedures, inspections, and construction documentation, particularly for U.S. residential projects.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, concise project updates, communicate schedule and budget impacts, manage expectations, and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Quality Control & Project Closeout: Track inspections, punch lists, outstanding deficiencies, warranty documentation, and final handoffs to ensure projects are completed to the required standards.
- Risk Management & Process Improvement: Identify schedule, cost, technical, and operational risks early. Develop mitigation plans, improve workflows, and document standard operating procedures to strengthen project execution.
What we are looking for:
- A strong foundation in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a closely related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience managing construction projects from planning through completion,
preferably in residential construction.
- U.S. construction experience is a strong advantage, including exposure to U.S. building codes, permitting, subcontractor coordination, construction practices, and project documentation.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project financial tracking.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field teams, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, change orders, inspections, and project closeout.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and coordinate directly with construction teams.
- A proactive, accountable approach to project management, with the ability to identify issues early and drive solutions independently.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
Must-have qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3+ years of construction project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and project coordination.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
- Availability to work during U.S. Central Time business hours.
Preferred: Experience with U.S. residential construction projects and familiarity with U.S. building codes, permitting, and construction documentation.
